This is the first time that I come to Japan. It impressed me as a clean and safe country, crowded but not noisy. Everything looked neat and pretty. Japanese people are warm-hearted and willing to help me from the very first day I came to Japan. My tutor picked me up at Narita airport and helped me to go to my accommodation. I live in a dormitory of my university in Kanagawa prefecture, which is about one hour on train from my university. The public transport system in Japan, especially Tokyo is excellent. The trains and buses reach almost everywhere I want to go. Moreover, Japanese foods are delicious and unique. I was very interested to join a party with much fresh sea foods whose taste is so special and nicely different from other countries’. The living and working pace is pretty fast, like any developed countries, if not busier compared with Germany, where I spent a half year before coming to Japan. My course at Tokyo Institute of Technology is an international program, which is conducted entirely in English. There are many foreign students in my department, who come from Europe, America and other Asian countries. Studying and carrying out research in such multicultural environment enable me to learn not only professional knowledge but also various cultures and working styles. My student life in Tokyo is certainly exciting and enjoyable.
