I did my internship under Prof. Takizawa Satoshi, Department of Urban Engineering, University of Tokyo. My research basically involved ‘Advanced oxidation techniques for drinking water treatment’. Apart from this I was a part of UEHAS Symposium and presented on “Developing Disaster Management Techniques for Haiti”. I was also a part of IARU Global Summer Program and took courses related to Health Risk Management, Sustainable transport, Japanese Architecture and Earthquake Hazard Prevention with students from the top 20 Research Universities across the globe. I also learned about ‘Waste Recycling’ and ‘Management of Urban Environment’ under Prof. Hanaki and Prof. Moriguichi. Apart from these courses I enjoyed my stay in Japan and learned a lot about the Japanese culture took Ninja lessons, Origami classes, climbed Mount Fuji and enjoyed playing Badminton and Football with Japanese students and my peers.
