It is true to say that Japan is one of these countries worth visiting. Despite modern economics, traditional value is still maintained until today. Thinking about New Year, I ensure that the first idea coming to your mind is fireworks, and I expected to see it. However, I was surprised to know that at the midnight on December 31st, all temples would ring their bells 108 times to remove the 108 worldly desires instead of setting up fireworks. Listening the sound of the bell in Chion-in temple, which owns the Japanese biggest bell, and praying good fortune are the most memorable New Year’s Eve I have ever experienced.
