When I first came to Japan, I felt very new, for example, new environment, new culture, new food etc. Because of the Covid 19 Pandemic, I had to stay 14 days Quarantine in the Hotel and the Tohoku University provided hand gel and masks to every students. This shows that they really take care of students and I really appreciate for the first time. After that I moved to my University and everything was ok with the help of Tobu Tour. As soon as I arrived to the University’s dorm, even though it was on Sunday, the security uncle waited for me and explain everything that will need to stay in the dorm and gave some useful documents. Now, I got a lot of friends in the dorm and I’m enjoying staying in the dorm. After arriving to Sendai, I visited to my Professor’s Lab and all the lab members and Professor warmly welcomed to me. The Japanese friends in the Lab explained me about the Lab and they told me to ask everything what I want to know and they’re very active to help me for my entrance exam. I met a lot of foreign friends in the Japanese Language class. They’re really kind to each other and teachers are also kind-hearted people. I’m really happy to be part of a student in Japanese Language class. I knew a lot of Japanese culture and it helps me to live in Japan comfortably and harmonically. For the Japanese food, I really like to eat Ramen and Takoyaki. I also tried Sendai’s famous food (beef tongue, zunda Mochi and milk shake). However, I have a little difficulty in everyday food because I like spicy food a lot and most of the Japanese food are not spicy. Therefore, I have to cook myself(^^) but I think that also will be used to after a few months. Taken as a whole, I’m enjoying to live in Japan and I really would like to participate Japanese festivals and parties that hold on throughout the year but sadly, because of the covid 19 pandemic, most the the event has been canceled. I hope I can experience in the coming year.
