Japan has indeed been a great learning experience for me. Having lived in countries like Canada and Taiwan before, I am always looking for diversity and new skills in places I visit. The diversity and richness of Japanese culture have enticed me. During my stay, I have visited places like Asakusa, Onjuku, Kyoto, and Kamakura. Being a person who loves beaches, interactions, and cultural diversity, I enjoyed the visits greatly. The shrines were exquisite, and one could feel a sense of peace while walking the Zen gardens full of beauty. The Japanese philosophy of Kaizen inspires me, and I am trying to incorporate the same in my endeavors. Working in a Japanese firm with such wonderful mentors was a great learning experience in a professional as well as personal front. The diligent and focused work culture of Japan motivates me, where everyone works as a team to achieve a common goal. I remember Yoshinari-san, my HR, coming to my apartment to pay a visit when I was sick for a day to take me to the hospital if necessary. The lady sitting behind me could not speak English at all, but her kindness, sweet greetings, and chocolates touched my heart. Language and food no longer seem like a barrier when you have such kind-hearted people around you, guiding you, and assisting you whenever necessary. The streets of Tokyo, the Japanese cuisine of Asakusa, and the shrines of Kyoto have a special place in my heart. I am excited to revisit this fantastic place.
