My experience in Japan as a master’s student has been both meaningful and transformative. Studying at Institute of Science Tokyo has given me a strong sense of pride, as I am able to learn within a high-quality academic system. In particular, the lab-based approach provides valuable hands-on experience, strengthens my research abilities, and encourages close collaboration with professors and lab-mates, creating a highly supportive learning environment. This system has allowed me to deepen my understanding of engineering concepts while also developing practical skills that are essential for my future career.
Living abroad has also been an important opportunity for personal growth. Being in a new environment has helped me become more independent, adaptable, and open-minded in both academic and daily life. At the same time, adjusting to a new academic system and managing a demanding workload have been challenging, but these experiences have strengthened my resilience, discipline, and time management skills.
With the support of the Honda Y-E-S Award Program, I have had valuable opportunities to explore different aspects of Japan beyond academics. Learning about Japanese culture, lifestyle, and social values has broadened my perspective and enriched my overall experience. Overall, my time in Japan has significantly contributed to both my academic and personal development, and it continues to shape my future goals and aspirations.
