Living in Japan as a graduate student has been a truly enjoyable and rewarding experience. I have been able to focus on my research in a perfect supportive academic environment, where my supervisor and lab-mates are not only highly knowledgeable but also kind and approachable. Their guidance has played an important role in my academic growth.
Meanwhile, daily life in Japan is both comfortable and enriching. The efficient public transportation system, as well as the cleanliness and safety of the environment, has made it easy to adapt and feel at ease. I have also enjoyed discovering Japanese Cuisines and seasonal local foods, which add small moments of joy to my everyday life. Besides, I have had many opportunities to experience Japanese culture. Visiting cultural sites, spending time in nature through activities like hiking, and participating in seasonal events such as hanami, and hanabi. They have created many memorable experiences.
Living in an international environment has also allowed me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, which help broadening my perspectives. While there were some small challenges, such as language barriers, they have helped me become more adaptable and independent.
Overall, my time in Japan has been both academically meaningful and personally enriching. I truly enjoy it.
