My internship in Japan afforded me the unique experience of living in both the bustling cities as well as small towns of Japan and I must say that the standards of infrastructure across both are astounding. The people I interacted with were all very kind, cooperative and hard working, ready to go out of their way to help whether at work or outside. An opportunity to connect with YES Awardees from other nations was invaluable. I have returned with a new perspective on safety, planning and quality in manufacturing. This was a wonderful experience that I would recommend to all YES awardees of the future.
