Host institution/organization in Japan:
National Institute of Basic Biology (NIBB)
Division of Chromatin Regulation
Professor. Jun-ichi Nakayama
Oct-Dec 2019

The internship at National Institute of Basic Biology is a great opportunity to me, on both academic and living sides. I was given a wonderful chance to do 3 different small projects at the same time and it helps me a lot to expand my knowledge as well as improve my lab work skills. I believe that NIBB is a wise choice for any student who love biology because of its variety of research fields and well-equipped facilities. Comparing to my home country, many experiments which are nearly impossible in Vietnam (due to financial problem) can be easily performed as daily routine in Japan, which enables the possibility of deep study. Besides, I got a lot of support and warm welcome from people at my place, especially from Professor Nakayama and his team at Division of Chromatin Regulation. Friendship and memories are the most precious things I was lucky to have thanks to the internship. I would like to send my deepest gratefulness to all my dear friends and mentors in Japan for taking care of me since my first day. I hope I could come back someday to thank them in person and continue my studying career in such a nice country as Japan.
