During my 2-year and a half stay in Japan, I was exposed to the culture, people, and several unforgettable experiences of Japan. Not only through living in Japan, but also attending some lectures organized by the university and Honda Foundation, gave me a better understanding of Japanese cultures, such as 5s philosophy. I have realized that Japanese culture is the internal element contributing to the development of Japan – the positive change of the nation. Japanese culture is a quintessence of thousands of historical years with its values – which comprises of rituals, customs in terms of communication, costumes, and eating. Sendai, the city I'm living in is a peaceful place to live and an excellent academic environment to study. My university has been selected as the top one Japanese university in 2020 not only because of the excellent academic environment for study and research but also, in my opinion, a peaceful and worth living place to stay. Studying in any Japanese university, in general, is a great opportunity to harness ourselves and learn from professors, friends, and other labmates. We are not only exposed to top-notched academic excellence but also many precious identities of Japanese professors, from hard-working attitude to honesty, discipline, and creativeness in conducting research and studying. For the opportunities that I have in Japan, I'm sincerely grateful for the support of the MEXT scholarship and great awards from Honda Foundation. If you are considering studying and living in Japan, don't be afraid to give it a try which will be one of your most beautiful memory in the future.
