As of now, it is already 6 months since I first came to Japan to study for my Master’s Degree in Robotics at Nagoya Institute of Technology. Never in my life have I visited Japan before so everything here is new to me and I’m very excited because finally, I can study in Japan. I have always wanted to study in Japan since this is one of the leading countries in Robotics and other cutting edge technologies in the world. Studying in Japan allows me to realize my goal of becoming an expert in Robotics engineering. However, at the same time, I also worry about my new life in Japan since I can only speak English and my Japanese is not good. I have thought that it will be difficult to adapt here. But, it was not my case. My professor and lab-mates are very friendly and they help me a lot with both my studies and my daily life. Thanks to their support, I can now enjoy my life to its fullest here in Nagoya. Alongside with studying and conducting research at the university, I also have the chance to take part in many company tours and field trips organized by my university. These tours and field trips not only allowed me to learn more about the working life in a company in Japan but also shown me how they apply current cutting edge technologies in reality. Moreover, I also gain the opportunity to make friends with Japanese and International students. I really love the life and the people in Japan. I believe that the experience I gain by studying and living here will contribute greatly to my personal development in the future.
