After two years of limited traveling around the world due to the spreading of the covid-19 pandemic, I came to Japan for the first time. With financial support from Honda Foundation, I had an opportunity to take my internship at the Mesoscopic Materials Research Laboratory, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Kobe University, where I was lucky to meet Professor Minoru Fujii and Professor Hiroshi Sugimoto. They were my supervisors during my internship. Actually, I came to Japan to take my internship as well as prepare for my entrance exam at Kobe University for the next semester. After the pandemic, a lot of students want to get a scholarship to study oversea, thus this exam is very competitive for me to enter the graduate program at Kobe University. When I came to Japan, I could study and work under the direct instruction of Prof. Fujii, which helped me a lot to prepare for my exam. Besides, there were many kind labmates at the laboratory, who always supported me whenever I had any questions or problems. All of them always made me feel like at home when I came to a stranger country. I really love them from the bottom of my heart. At the laboratory, I can work with many modern equipments, which can boost my academic achievements a lot. In Japan, I also had a chance to live together with a Japanese and a Chinese in a shared house, who always helped me in my daily life. All people I met in Japan during my internship are really nice and generous, they motivated me more to pass the entrance exam, so that I can be near them for many future years. Comfortable life, fresh air, convenient transportation, delicious foods and many other good sides of Japan are also my motivation to live and study here. Finally, I would like to thank Honda Foundation for financial support that gave me the chance to come Japan to strengthen and widen my experiences.
