Japan is my dream country, where I have always wanted to pursue my postgraduate studies and enhance my research skills in the field of Bioscience and Biotechnology. I had never been abroad before, and the first visa stamped in my passport was for Japan. To me, this truly feels like a dream come true. My academic journey to Japan began in September 2022, when I participated in the AIMS/PEACE exchange program for one semester at Hiroshima University. Beyond classroom learning and laboratory practices, I had the valuable opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, including a plankton research cruise and a rice-harvesting field trip, experiences that remain deeply memorable to me to this day. After completing the program, I tirelessly searched for scholarship opportunities to continue pursuing higher education in Japan. In 2025, I was honored to be selected as a MEXT scholarship recipient through embassy recommendation, marking the beginning of a new and more intensive stage in my academic journey. Upon returning to Japan for the second time, I could hardly imagine that my long-cherished dream had finally become a reality. Additionally, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Honda Foundation for helping me keep my dream alive and continue pursuing my aspirations. One of the most remarkable and exciting experiences of being here was attending the 46th Honda Prize Ceremony held in Tokyo, where I had the privilege of meeting both the current and previous laureates and establishing meaningful connections with distinguished participants and fellow Y-E-S Plus awardees. At present, I am deeply engaged in my experimental research; however, I am still able to maintain a healthy and efficient work-life balance. This April marks my first anniversary of living in Japan, and I am profoundly grateful for how well I have been able to adapt to this new academic and social environment. Beyond conducting research, I also hope to deepen my understanding of Japanese culture and visit as many prefectures across Japan as possible. So far, I have had the opportunity to visit Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, Saga, and Hokkaido, and I look forward to exploring many more in the future.
