Chau Ngoc Do Quyen
I am currently a PhD student at University of Strasbourg - France, under the supervision of Professor Alberto BIANCO. Since 2011, the year when I received the Honda Y-E-S Award, I dreamed a dream to have an internship in Japan. The opportunity came when Professor Yuta Nishina at the Okayama University visited my laboratory in Strasbourg. Therefore, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Honda Foundation and my professors, Prof. Alberto and Prof. Nishina for offering me a chance to do the research exchange as well as to experience life in Japan.
The supervisor and lab- mates are really nice, hardworking and polite. They helped me a lot since the beginning days. Moreover, they organized the cultural activities to introduce to the international students the culture of Japan such as Yotsudeami activity, making Takoyaki…
Last but not least, thanks to Prof. Chenevier, who is the Senior University Research Administrator of Okayama University, I had a chance to join the meeting with the Ambassador of European Union. Although the internship was only four-month long, I have been more knowledgeable, independent, and have become a better version of myself.
