One of the most impressive experiences as an internship in Japan was the working style and system of Japanese’s people. Working in Japan is totally different from traveling in Japan. In Japan every people are always well concentrating on what are they going to do especially their jobs. Their working style is very interesting because they work like they are the machine! Every morning I can see most of working people arrive very early in the morning about 7 am even their work start at 8:20 am and they always do like this every day. Another impressive thing is the time. In Japan everyone always on time. I rarely see that someone is late. Instead, he or she is always well organized about timing, even in the train, they will reading something in order to fully utilize the time and now I also get used to that style too. Secondly is the Shinkansen. Before internship in Japan I have never been on the Shinkansen but I have heard that it is one of the most advanced technology train in the world, sometime it can be as fast as 300km/h but the noise is really little, maybe you can say it is an airplane on the ground. When I have chance to get on it I am surely agree with all of the saying above. Lastly is the most modern technology construction of the Shimzu Corporation for coping with various situations such as earthquake, structure design, recycling water system, concrete technology and so on. The most impressive thing during the internship is the technology in the lab of Shimizu. I have visit the laboratory once at Tokyo. There are a lot of researchers at the lab separating for many areas such as soil, structure and another modern system. They showed me the simulation of the earthquake, the technology of high strength concrete technology and above all, they brought me to the construction site such as Yanba dam, high way construction site and tunnel construction site. All of this is the rare experiences in my life.
