On December 7, 2011 the award ceremony was held in the Assembly Hall at National University of Laos' Faculty of Engineering in Vientiane. After the ceremony, Vice President Dr. Saykhong Saynasine, Honda Foundation's Managing Director Mr. Yoichi Harada, and the two awardees were interviewed by the Lao National Television.
