Honda Y-E-S Award 2009 in Laos Award Ceremony Highlights
Two Excellent Students Received the 2nd Y-E-S Award in Laos
The award ceremony for the 2nd Y-E-S Award in Laos took place in the Assembly Hall at National University of Laos' Faculty of Engineering in Vientiane on January 27, 2010. Based on their performance records, interviews, and essays, two most brilliant students were selected from the applicants who study science or engineering at our affiliated National University of Laos.
In his congratulatory remarks, Vice President of National University of Laos Dr. Saykhong SAYNASINHE acknowledged: "On behalf of National University of Laos, I appreciate continued Honda Foundation's support for us."

On behalf of National University of Laos, I appreciate continued Honda Foundation's support for us. I also thank people from Japanese Embassy to Lao PDR, JICA and JICE who are present here for their support and cooperation. We hope to work with and assist you in various projects and deepen amicable relationship between Laos and Japan.

Lao PDR is developing her economy especially by using minerals and other natural resources. The basis for this development is science and technology. I appreciate Honda Foundation's efforts through the Y-E-S Award to aid science and engineering students for a brighter future of this country. I hope this award will encourage many Lao students at the National University and other schools to study science and technology very hard.
