The 43rd Honda Prize ceremony has been held on Thursday, November 17, at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo, with 120 guests such as officers of foreign Embassies in Japan, policy makers, scholars, researchers and media people.
This year’s laureate is Dr. Hidetoshi Katori, Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo, (Principal Investigator/Team Leader, RIKEN) for inventing the “optical lattice clock” which is 1,000 times more accurate than conventional atomic clocks.
